Megan and Ben's wedding

22/6/2024

Megan and Nick were married on 13 June 2024 at Baddow Park House. They chose classic whites and greens for their flowers which included roses, campanula, astilbe and eucalptus.

I loved making Megan's bouquet, with trailing foliages and white satin ribbon to finish.

The seven bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, they looked amazing all together!

All boxed up and delivered to the venue.

Ben's buttonhole featured a white rose with mixed foliages.

The other men wore a smaller version with a spray rose as the focal flower.
All labelled and delivered to the venue.

I had my freelancer Amy helping me with the set up and we had a fair amount to do but it was all so fun to create! We firstly dressed this welcome sign with a garland of flowers and foliage, I love how it was so personal to the couple.
Megan wanted a statement arrangement on the staircase as you enter the venue so we went for this candle and foliage design, with LED candles to keep them safe on ground level. We had also kept the foliage a bit longer originally but the wedding coordinator said the bride's dress would sweep it all away so we tucked it in a bit more!
Picture
The ceremony was held outside in the beautiful grounds, so we kept the decor simple with some chair ends and a long and low arrangement on the table, which would later be used on the top table.

Behind the top table we placed my rectangular metal arch, which I had sprayed black especially for this couple to match their theme, and we decorated this with two large groupings of flowers and trailing foliages. This fit perfectly with the doorframe and it felt like we had brought some of the outside in.

We then decorated the table plan with a garland of foliages and flowers along the base.
The wedding breakfast room at Baddow Park is simply stunning, fairly neutral so you can incorporate any colour you might like but still ornate enough that you don't need to go over the top with the decor if you don't want to.
The top table had a space for the long and low and then vases laid out for some of the bouquets and the chair ends. The other tables had a mix of tall and low arrangements. The tall arrangements were on my hexagonal metal stands, which again I sprayed black to match the theme. The low arrangements featured a trio of cylindrical vases with floating candles with a ring of flowers around the base. All of these arrangements could be taken home by guests following the venue and I just collected my hire items.

I'm unsure who made the cake, I provided some fresh flowers and sprigs of foliages to decorate it with and it looked stunning against this mirrored backdrop. I also placed some additional vases for the bouquets, and some smaller jam jars for the chair ends - if you zoom in you'll see that these are personalised Wilkin Tiptree jam jars as the bride works for the company!

Abbie and Nick's wedding

Abbie and Nick were married on 7 June 2024 at Blake Hall. They chose all whites and greens for their flowers, which included roses, peonies, stocks and homegrown sweet rocket, orlaya and briza mazima grasses.
Picture
Abbie's bouquet was so pretty, with the grasses adding a fun texture and the ivory satin ribbon finishing it off perfectly.

The two bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Abbie's bouquet, with all of the same flowers.

Boxed up and delivered to the venue.

Nick's buttonhole featured spray roses, astilbe, gypsophila and foliage.

The other men wore smaller versions with a single spray rose.

In their little vases and delivered to the venue.

The ceremony area looked so pretty set up, with a beautiful arch backdrop, long and low arrangement on the table and flowers on the end of the chairs.

The wedding breakfast barn is stunning, with fairy lights strung up everywhere creating the loveliest ambience. On the tables we placed a ring of flowers around a trio of cylindrical glass vases with floating candles - the most elegant centrepiece.

I also decorated the cake, made by a family member, with a selection of fresh flowers and foliages.
Picture
A couple of thank you bouquets for the mums finished everything off.

I haven't seen any of the pro photos yet but here are a couple of piccies courtesy of the venue - what a gorgeous couple!

Congratulations to Nick and Abbie, wishing them every happiness for the future.

Laura and Oli's wedding

Laura and Oli were married on 25 May 2024 at Vaulty Manor. They chose a mix of pinks for their flowers, which included roses, peonies, astilbe and sweet rocket.
Picture
Laura's bouquet was so pretty, with a mix of blush pinks, whites and pops of cerise. A light pink satin ribbon finished off the stems perfectly.

The two bridesmaids carried smaller versions, in mostly white with just a few pinks.

Boxed up and delivered to the venue.

Oli's buttonhole featured a large pink rose with mixed spray roses and some foliage.
Picture
The other men wore white rose buttonholes with pink ribbon to finish.

With their name tags and delivered to the venue.

The ceremony area at Vaulty is so pretty by itself, but the couple added in a silk arch from a separate supplier, fabric chair swags from Occasions Covered and some flowers on a few of the chairs.
Picture
The top table had vases laid out for the bouquets and chair end flowers, with some long b urn tealights in gold votives. Repurposing flowers this way is a great way to fill up your top table with minimal extra cost, you already have the flowers so why not make a feature out of them?!
Picture
On the guest tables we placed a series of bud vases in mismatched glass vases, with gold tealight holders to compliment. The tables at Vaulty are oval shaped so this elongated design works perfectly.
Picture
For the mums there were a couple of thank you bouquets with flowers to match the other designs. We normally place these behind the top table to be given out during the speeches.
