Hannah and Andrew's wedding

31/8/2024

Hannah and Andrew were married on 22 August 2024 at Little Channels. They chose a colourful mix of pink, peach, blue and white for their flowers, which included roses, dahlias, delphinium and tanacetum.
Picture
Hannah's bouquet was pretty and colourful, finished with jute ribbon which matched the barn setting perfectly.

The two bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Hannah's bouquet, but without the delphinium as they were wearing blue dresses.

Andrew's buttonhole featured peach spray roses, dried lavender and foliage, finished with rustic twine.
Picture
There were only two other buttonholes and these were both the same as the groom's.

The ceremony looked lovely all set up, with a statement arch backdrop and a long and low on the table, which was later moved to the top table.

The tables at Little Channels are fairly small, so the centrepieces Hannah and Andrew went for were perfect as they weren't too big - they featured a log slice and three bud vases, each with a few stems inside in the colours of the wedding.

Katherine and Ben's wedding

24/8/2024

Katherine and Ben were married on 11 August 2024 at Houchins. They chose all whites and greens for their flowers, which included the stunning 'playa blanca' rose for the bride's bouquet.
Katherine's bouquet was a modern take on an all rose domed bouquet, with the flowers at different heights and the stems left fairly long - I did advise that I would cut them shorter than some of the bouquets of this style you see around; you want to be comfortable on your wedding day and long flower stems sticking into your stomach is not the way to do that! I usually cut my stems fairly short anyway to reduce the overall bulk of the bouquet (you're carrying it for a long time after all!) so this way was more in keeping with my style while making it comfortable for the bride.

I debated whether to do one of my bouquet contents cards as there was only one flower in the bridal bouquet but I decided it wouldn't be fair for Katherine to miss out on this little keepsake I like to offer my brides!
Picture
For the bridesmaids Katherine opted for wrist corsages rather than bouquets, with roses and spray roses attached to a length of white satin ribbon.
Boxed up and delivered to the venue.

Ben's buttonhole featured spray roses and eucalyptus - simple yet beautiful.
Picture
The other men's buttonholes were all the same, although I did add an extra little bud into the groom's!

Their ceremony was held out on the lawn by the lake and it was the most beautiful setting. I hired them my arch which made for a lovely backdrop, with fabric draping, clusters of flowers and lanterns with rose petals at the base. I also hired some additional lanterns which were placed down the aisle. It was a very warm day and the ceremony wasn't until late afternoon, but when I returned to collect the arch the next day the flowers looked really good still which goes to show that trusting a professional to provide your flowers who knows how to look after them properly is definitely worth it!

For the mums I provided thank you bouquets, with a little sentimental photo added into the one for the bride's mum which I thought was a lovely touch.

Lucy and Myles' wedding

Lucy and Myles were married on 10 August 2024 at Houchins. They went for soft pinks and whites for their flowers, which included roses, dahlias, astilbe and stocks.
Lucy's bouquet was kept soft and pretty, and not too large as she was a very petite bride!
Picture
Picture
Lucy had two junior bridesmaids, so I designed them mini versions of her bouquet.
There was also a little flower girl who carried a wand of fresh flowers and trailing ribbons.
Delivered to the venue!
Picture

Myles' buttonhole featured a large pink rose, pink and white spray roses and some foliage.
Picture
The other men wore smaller versions without the main focal rose.
Picture
For the mums I made them lapel corsages to match the groom's buttonhole.

The ceremony set up was kept fairly simple with a long and low on the table and flowers on the end of the chairs lining the aisle.
Picture
Picture
The venue looked beautiful with a mix of low and tall centrepieces, on my high riser stands and gold candlesticks. The containers were hired but the flowers were designed into a dish so they could be taken home at the end of the night.

The cake was made by Maria Summers Cake Design and we provided some fresh flowers for her to decorate it with in a simple, elegant design.

Kyna and Andrew's wedding

Kyna and Andrew were married on 3 August 2024 at Smeetham Hall Barn. They chose classic whites and greens for their flowers, which included some beautiful roses, dahlias, stocks and freesias.
Picture
Kyna's bouquet was so pretty, with soft foliages and a lovely mix of flowers, and finished with white satin ribbon.

The four bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Kyna's bouquet.

Delivered to the Airbnb where they were getting ready.

Andrew's buttonhole featured a white rose with gyp and eucalyptus.

The other men wore smaller versions with a spray rose as the focal flower.

Delivered to the venue.

The ceremony out on the lawn looked lovely with an arch backdrop framing the lake and a statement long and low arrangement on the table. My sister helped me with this set up (scroll down for a shot the wedding coordinator took for us!) and we started the set up in raincoats and finished in t-shirts and sunglasses! The weather was very mixed but the bride had her heart set on an outdoor ceremony so we took the chance and thankfully it paid off!

The centrepieces were simple but effective, with candles to add height and some greenery and gypsophila to adorn the table. I loved the black accents running throughout the tables.
Picture
There was one less guest table in the end than I'd quoted for so I used the spare foliage and gyp to add a couple of placements on the top table on either side of where the long and low would be.

I've only seen one photo of the happy couple but it's a stunning one!

Jess and Adam's wedding

6/8/2024

Jess and Adam were married on 3 August 2024 at Houchins. I loved working with their chosen colour palette of bright and light pinks, burnt orange and white - I used dahlias, roses, spray roses and stocks amongst other flowers.
Picture
I just loved Jess' bouquet - you'll see I do a lot of classic white and green weddings (which I also love don't get me wrong!) but as a creative it's so fun when you get to work with some colour! The 'cafe au lait' and 'wizard of oz' dahlias, as well as the cosmos, were all homegrown in my cutting garden and the trailing coppery coloured ribbon just finished it off perfectly.
Picture
Picture
There were two bridesmaids and they each carried a smaller version of Jess' bouquet.
Picture
For the flower girl we made a wand with small and dainty flowers in white and pink.
All packaged up and delivered to the venue!
Picture

Adam's buttonhole featured spray roses, gypsophila and eucalyptus, with ribbon to match the bouquets.
Picture
The other men had the same for their buttonholes, with a smaller version for the page boy.
Picture
We also made a ladies wrist corsage to match the buttonholes.
Picture

I had so much fun decorating the ceremony area. I do this foliage curtain set up at Houchins all the time but the addition of hanging flowers looked so lovely. We also tied flowers to the end of the chairs lining the aisle.
Picture
Picture

The groom Adam had some amazing carpentry skills as he made all the signage for the wedding himself! Including the welcome sign and the table plan, with individual shots for each guest. I created two floor standing meadow style arrangements to accompany the signage.
Picture
Houchins is such a wonderful venue to decorate, it's beautiful all by itself but the little bud vases we placed on the tables added a lovely pop of colour.
Picture
The top table had a larger version with a mason jar in the centre and five surrounding bud vases, with colourful taper candles added by the bride and groom.
Picture
The other table then had a trio of bud vases with the same candles that tied in perfectly.
Picture
Picture
Picture
We also provided some loose stems that the bride's uncle was going to use to decorate the cake with.
