Jess and Adam's wedding

Jess and Adam were married on 3 August 2024 at Houchins. I loved working with their chosen colour palette of bright and light pinks, burnt orange and white - I used dahlias, roses, spray roses and stocks amongst other flowers.

I just loved Jess' bouquet - you'll see I do a lot of classic white and green weddings (which I also love don't get me wrong!) but as a creative it's so fun when you get to work with some colour! The 'cafe au lait' and 'wizard of oz' dahlias, as well as the cosmos, were all homegrown in my cutting garden and the trailing coppery coloured ribbon just finished it off perfectly.

There were two bridesmaids and they each carried a smaller version of Jess' bouquet.

For the flower girl we made a wand with small and dainty flowers in white and pink.
All packaged up and delivered to the venue!

Adam's buttonhole featured spray roses, gypsophila and eucalyptus, with ribbon to match the bouquets.

The other men had the same for their buttonholes, with a smaller version for the page boy.

We also made a ladies wrist corsage to match the buttonholes.

I had so much fun decorating the ceremony area. I do this foliage curtain set up at Houchins all the time but the addition of hanging flowers looked so lovely. We also tied flowers to the end of the chairs lining the aisle.

The groom Adam had some amazing carpentry skills as he made all the signage for the wedding himself! Including the welcome sign and the table plan, with individual shots for each guest. I created two floor standing meadow style arrangements to accompany the signage.

Houchins is such a wonderful venue to decorate, it's beautiful all by itself but the little bud vases we placed on the tables added a lovely pop of colour.

The top table had a larger version with a mason jar in the centre and five surrounding bud vases, with colourful taper candles added by the bride and groom.

The other table then had a trio of bud vases with the same candles that tied in perfectly.

We also provided some loose stems that the bride's uncle was going to use to decorate the cake with.
