Rebecca and George's wedding

16/11/2024

Rebecca and George were married on 26 October 2024 in a church ceremony with their reception to follow at Gaynes Park. They chose a beautiful autumnal colour palette of peach, burnt orange, copper, burgundy and blue, with some white accents, with their flowers including roses, snapdragons and dianthus.

Becca's bouquet was my perfect idea of autumn! Deep, rich and luxurious tones accented by softly toned foliages and trailing ribbons to finish.

The three bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Becca's bouquet.

George's buttonhole featured white spray roses, homegrown dried strawflower, waxflower and some foliage.

The other men's buttonholes were all the same, all finished with sage green ribbon to match the bouquets.

For the mum's I designed neutral wrist corsages on snap bands, perfect to coordinate with different outfits!

The couple got married in a beautiful church local to the venue. On either side of the entrance we placed a floral arrangement in a milk churn with flowers to match the rest of the wedding.

Inside we kept the decor simple with some small posies lining the aisle on every other pew. These were finished with trailing chiffon ribbons to match the bouquets.

Over at the venue we added fresh rose petals to a basket supplied by the couple to be used as confetti. We had some surplus foliage so we added a simple garland to the welcome sign (if I remember correctly there was a mark on the sign they wanted to cover up!)
On the tables we placed a gorgeous arrangement in a glass footed bowl, which was designed into a removable tray so the couple could keep the flowers/give them to guests at the end of the night. There was also a long and low arrangement which we placed on the top table.

My lovely freelancer Alana stayed on site with me while the ceremony took place and afterwards we popped back into the church to pick up the milk churns and pew end flowers and moved these over to the venue - they were all placed in the orangery where the couple were having their drinks reception. A great way to get the most out of your flowers and budget!

The cake was a simple M&S design and Becca gave me free reign over decorating it, so I brought along a selection of the wedding flowers, taped the ends and attached them to the cake in a way I thought they looked pretty!
