There were quite a few buttonholes and corsages in this wedding, in a mix of different combinations. The groom and his best man had the addition of a little forget-me-not; with the meaning of 'true and undying love' it's a perfect flower to use in weddings when it's in season!

We brought some colour into the venue flowers with the addition of sunflowers and oxypetalum. The ceremony table at Crondon is just gorgeous, so the five jam jars dotted along the front complimented it perfectly. These were later moved over to the top table which is a move I always recommend to my couples as a good way to make the most of their flowers. 

Vintage birdcages on rustic log slices made up the centrepieces, which worked perfectly in the barn setting of the venue!

Katee's bouquet was a beautiful mix of flowers in all the colours of the wedding. She had a chief bridesmaid who had a smaller version of her bouquet, four additional bridesmaids who had gyp bouquet with roses and astilbe, and also a bride's man who had a fancy buttonhole for his suit. 

Giving the bride her bouquet, attaching some additional ribbon from the chief maid's dress and showing her how to hold it for photographs!

There was a selection of different buttonholes and corsages - spray roses for the buttonholes and the larger 'menta' rose for the corsages, with some astilbe, brunia and eucalyptus and a little bit of sparkle for that extra feminine touch.

I loved creating the table centrepieces for this wedding - tall arrangements on either martini vases or conical vases. They created real impact across the blank canvas of the marquee. The top table had a series of little bud vases dotted along with a mix of flowers from the wedding.

On our way to setting up this wedding we ran into a little van trouble - a ladder was left sticking out into the road and unfortunately I didn't see it until the last minute. I managed to swerve enough to avoid the front tyre but it caught the rear one and bang! Massive hole and van left useless at the side of the road! Definitely not the stress I needed with two other weddings to set up after this one. Luckily my family came to the rescue - my mum and aunt were following a couple of cars behind (luckily managing to avoid the ladder even though they didn't see it either!) and my dad eventually came out and took the van for a new tyre. My mum took Alana who was helping me off to the venue with as many of the flowers she could fit into her car to start setting up while me and my aunt waited for either my dad or the AA, whoever could get there first! She then came back to pick me and the rest of the flowers up so I could deliver Katee her bouquet (I will never ask anyone else to do this so I can be sure you're 100% happy!) 

So Katee and Dan's wedding was all set up in time, looking gorgeous and I started relaxing a little bit. Although I had to take the Fiesta my dad was driving to start setting up wedding 2 which wasn't ideal but I had the van back in time for wedding 3 and it all worked out in the end! As much planning as I had done this wasn't something I had anticipated but luckily I had a great support team around me!

Keeley's bouquet was so pretty - soft and delicate, with the delicate tones of the 'sweet avalanche' roses and the wispiness of the astilbe. Just lovely. Her single bridesmaid - her little sister - had a smaller version of her bouquet and there was even a pretty wand for the flower girl.

The buttonholes and corsages all featured small spray roses to continue the delicate theme, with little sprigs of gypsophila to compliment. The groom had a white rose with everyone else in the bridal party having pink.

With a grand venue like Hylands House you have to go big with the floral decorations - and Keeley and Graham did just that! Magnificent martini glasses with large arrangements of flowers on top, featuring some of the biggest hydrangea heads I've ever seen! A long and low on the top table matched the flowers, with some rose gold bud vases in the Terrace Room and two large pedestal arrangements to frame the entrance as you walked in.

The stunning professional photographs were taken by Danielle Smith Photography - the super talented lady who showed me how to use my camera so it was lovely to work with her again! That wisteria is just gorgeous - Keeley and Graham timed their wedding to perfection!

Last month was fairly quiet flower-wise to start off with, but the final weekend kicked off a jam packed wedding season which doesn't start winding down now until October. I had two wonderful weddings the last weekend in May - Sarah and Martin in Chignal Smealey and Keeley and Graham at Hylands House. I really lucked it out with the photographers for these weddings - not only were they both super quick at getting a preview out but the photos are utterly gorgeous as well! I think I must get almost as excited as the bride and groom to see their photographs - I love seeing how the professionals capture my flowers! I just want to show you the church arrangement I made for Sarah and Martin - I was so pleased with how it turned out and I think it looks amazing. Plus I'll let you in on a little secret - I designed it in semi-darkness as we could only find one light switch and it only turned on a single light at the back of the church! My dad came along with me as chief ladder holder and he ended up shining his phone torch onto the arrangement so I could see what I was doing! The things we florists have to do!

I went back after setting up the venue in the hope that it would be a bit brighter in the church to take some photos but you can tell from the quality of them that the lighting still wasn't great!

I've already had my mammoth three wedding weekend - more on that next month - but if you follow my instagram stories you'll know what happened there! I have six more weddings this month so it's still looking busy for the foreseeable future but I wouldn't have it any other way. It goes so fast so it's important for both me and the brides to enjoy the moment while it lasts.

The church flowers for Sarah and Martin were one of my favourite things to make ever but Sarah's bouquet  was equally gorgeous, and this photo by Clare Kentish captures it beautfully!

Marie and David were married at a local church and then went onto The Blue Anchor in Feering for their reception. They chose a soft, pretty pink and white colour palette with 'avalanche' and 'sweet avalanche' roses, veronica, gypsophila and eucalyptus, with some amazing hydrangeas for the table centrepieces. 

Marie and her maid of honour had almost matching bouquets, with Marie's being a little bigger with the addition of the veronica. There was also a pretty pink corsage and a number of buttonholes with white spray roses and veronica.

I added just a few gyp pew ends in the lovely little church, finished with natural linen ribbon bows to match the bouquets.

The tables at the venue featured large martini vases arrangements with those huge hydrangeas plus some hanging amaranthus for an extra texture. They were placed on mirrored plates with tealights and glass scatter crystals adding extra decoration. The top table was also on a mirror plate and featured little bud vases to match the rest of the flowers. We decided not to go too big with the top table because of the magnificent fireplace right behind the table, and instead I made a large floral arrangement to sit along the mantlepiece.
