In my first wedding post lockdown, Sammy and Nick married on 9 August 2020 at Houchins. I was originally supposed to meet with them back in January but for personal reasons this was cancelled, then lockdown happened and in the end they only actually booked with me two weeks before the big day! They went for a pretty pastel mix for their flowers including roses, astilbe, dephinium, ammi and homegrown dahlias, with eucalyptus and jasmine foliages. Sammy's bouquet has gone straight up there amongst my favourites, with the pops of blue from the delphinium just looking amazing and the trailing satin ribbons finishing it off perfectly. Sammy's two bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet, with all of the same flowers and foliages and finished with the same trailing ribbons. At the venue ready to be taken to the bride! Nick wore a buttonhole of peach and white spray roses, with all white spray roses for his groomsmen. A little bit of eucalyptus and some ivory ribbon finished them off so nicely. Delivery! I'm so pleased I went on a calligraphy workshop to learn how to write these sweet little tags (if anyone is interested I learnt with Lydia Packham Calligraphy.) Due to Covid restrictions Sammy and Nick only held their ceremony at the venue but that didn't mean it was any less special! We decorated the ceremony area with a beautiful long and low, with my trademark foliage curtain framing the area beautifully. We also provided fresh rose petals for their guests to scatter, in individual lace trimmed cones. And then just a couple of thank you bouquets for the mums to finish off! Here's just a little preview of the professional photos by the incredibly talented Ella Violet Photography: I hope Sammy and Nick had a wonderful day!
