Carrie and Stewart were married on 16 July 2022 at Apton Hall. Carrie spent a long time planning the perfect day, and it all came together beautifully. Their flowers were in shades of blush pink and white, with roses, dahlias, lisianthus, astilbe and sweet peas.

Carrie asked for her bouquet to be in all white flowers. She also asked if I would be able to get some white forget-me-nots, but unfortunately there were none available on the auction. I did, however, have a plant in the garden with one stem still flowering so it was obviously meant to be! I cut and conditioned it and you can just see it to the front right of the bouquet. Working with nature this isn't always possible and I do have to work within the seasons, but if I can make something happen for my couples then obviously I will!

A little horseshoe and a lucky sixpence were pinned to the handle of the bouquet. 

The two bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets with soft pink in the mix - those fluffy astilbe were just perfect! We finished all of the bouquets in twine for that rustic feel which perfectly suited the venue. 

The two flower girls wore dainty little flower crowns, and we also provided rose petals to be added to baskets that the bride had sourced. I like to finish flower crowns with ribbon at the back - one because it looks so sweet against their hair but also because it allows the circlet to be adjusted to the wearer's head.

Stewart's buttonhole was a mix of white and pink but he also requested a little bit of orange, which was a nod to his late parents who sadly couldn't be there on the day. I used a spray rose so it would be in keeping with the other flowers.

The other men wore smaller buttonholes with a single white spray rose, gypsophila and foliage.

The ceremony room at Apton Hall looked stunning once all set up. The registrars table was framed by this stunning silk blossom tree from KMS Hire, Victoria from Party Squared hung fairy light covered hoops on the back wall and we decorated these with fresh flowers. We also placed the long and low on the table and Victoria scattered lanterns down the aisle - beautiful!

We also provided fresh rose petals and eucalyptus leaves for confetti, in individual cones and lined up in a couple of baskets.

The wedding reception also looked beautiful - Carrie fell in love with a previous arrangement I'd done for the tables which included a mass of different tealight holders, surrounded by loose foliage and with flowers dotted throughout. These would have looked so romantic as it went into the evening and the light levels began to drop.

The top table had the long and low moved over from the ceremony room, with the design extended out along the rest of the table. We placed our geometric tealight holders all the way along, with loose foliage at the base and flowers naturally dotted around. Victoria hung another hoop behind the top table which we also decorated - she later told me that she moved the other hoops over from the ceremony room which would have only have added to the beauty of the whole set up. 

With 15 tealights per table I did use the bulk of the gold/glass tealights I own for this set up! But the mismatch of different shapes, designs and colours looks so lovely.

Carrie and Stewart ordered little wooden hearts with each guest's name on, which we tied onto little sprigs of foliage and Victoria placed on each setting - there's nothing like teamwork! I used a mix of three different types of eucalyptus and olive leaves for the sprigs, with a grouping of each foliage for the bride and groom as a special little touch. The couple gave wildflower seeds as their favours which I loved!

A little memory table in the corner meant the groom's parents could be included in the day - such a lovely idea. Party Squared hired all of the sundry items and we did the petals and flowers.

Party Squared hired the couple some adorable little cut glass bud vases which we filled with fresh flowers and then dotted around the venue.

Victoria also hired the couple a large cake hoop which we decorated with two groupings of flowers around the alternative curves. I bet this looked lovely once the cake had been delivered and set up!

We also made a few gift bouquets - the first in the vase was in memory of the groom's mum, and the others for friends and family who particularly helped the couple. They requested yellow roses and touches of orange.

I haven't seen any photographs yet but I hope Carrie and Stewart had a lovely day!

Emily and Joe were married on 25 June 2022 at East Mersea Hall. Emily changed her mind about the colour palette but I'm so pleased she did because their flowers were a riot of colour and they looked amazing! The original colour palette was blue and white so I made sure to still include some blue as a nod to this.

Emily's bouquet was oversized, loose and natural, with a slight trail when tipped forwards. I cut some snapdragons, grass and stocks from my cutting garden and mixed these with fabulous sunflowers, delphinium, peonies, scabious and tanacetum. The trailing jasmine and soft ruscus finished it off perfectly, with neatly bound pink ribbon.

The five bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bride's bouquet, with the foliage kept a little neater.

Joe's buttonhole drew out some of the daintier flowers from the bridal bouquet, with spray roses, eryngium, dried flowers and foliage.

The wedding reception was held in a tipi set up in one of the back fields of East Mersea Hall. The top table was adorned with a large, statement long and low arrangement, which was also used for the ceremony beforehand. 

On the tables we placed a grouping of bud vases with flowers to match the bouquets, with tealights in glass votives and the couple's table number in the centre. The great thing about doing bud vases is that you have lots of little bouquets to give away to your guests at the end of the night!

The cake was made by Luca's Cakes. Due to the heat in the tipi and the fact the cake was covered in buttercream, Raluca set the cake up later in the day so I left the flowers ready for her to add - how fabulous does the cake look! Thank you to Raluca for these photos.

Becky and Sean were married on 17 June 2022 in a church ceremony, with their reception to follow at Hutton Hall. They chose pretty pinks and whites for their flowers, with roses, peonies, astilbe, astrantia and sweet peas. Their wedding day was forecast to be the hottest day of the year so far so needless so say I was a little worried for the flowers!

Becky's bouquet was so pretty, with the stocks and sweet peas adding the most gorgeous fragrance.  The stems were finished with simple ribbon in rose gold.

Becky just had the one bridesmaid, who carried a smaller version of her bouquet.

Delivered at the venue, matching perfectly with their silk flowers!

Sean's buttonhole featured two white spray roses with mixed foliages.

The other men wore a smaller version with just a single spray rose.

The two mums decided on different corsages - one had a lapel corsage in a larger arrangement than the buttonholes, the other wore hers around her wrist on a snap band.

The venue was set up with 10 round tables, with the top table amongst the guest tables. We dressed the centre of the tables with a tall candelabra which we decorated with a ball of flowers at the top.

We also decorated the staircase at the venue, with a garland wrapped around the handrail and a grouping of flowers at the base.

The couple ordered 4 gift bouquets to give as gifts, with flowers to match the rest of the wedding.
