Collette and Mark's vow renewal

18/1/2020

Collette and Mark renewed their vows after 30 years married at Prested Hall on 10 January 2020. They went for a beautiful mix for their flowers, incorporating deep red, peach and pink blooms including roses, hypericum, astilbe and pepperberries.

Collette chose a more compact bouquet, in a natural hand tied arrangement and finished with burgundy satin ribbon.

Packaged up and ready for delivery! I tried out my new calligraphy skills on the recipe card but unfortunately on delivery this got a little wet and the ink ran so I think I'm going to stick to a biro in the future! I like these to be a little keepsake after the wedding so I wouldn't want these ruined by running ink.
There were two little flower girls to accompany Collette down the aisle - one age six and the other only two so I kept their wands in proportion with them. The older flower girl had a larger rose and the younger one had a spray rose, each with small blooms to match the rest of the wedding. These were finished with trailing burgundy trailing ribbons to compliment Collette's bouquet.

There were three main men in the bridal party, each with a buttonhole of a pink rose, berries and some foliage. These were also finished with burgundy ribbon to match.

Over at the venue the reception was held in the orangery with a room off to the side set up for the ceremony. On the beautiful fireplace in this room we placed two small wooden boxes with flowers inside up on the mantlepiece. The family made these boxes themselves, as well as the larger one that we placed in the centre of the reception table.

The orangery all set up - they went for one large table with flowers running down the centre.

The stunning box in the centre of the table - we stuffed this full of gorgeous blooms to make for a real showpiece.

Also on the table were four lanterns with floral arrangements around the base, each of which was placed on top of a log slice.  A few tealights around the edge finished it off perfectly.

I hope Collette and Mark had a wonderful day celebrating with their friends and family and here's to the next 30 years!

Siobhan and Jake's wedding

Siobhan and Jake were married on 9 November 2019 at Apton Hall. They went for a gorgeous colour combination of burgundy, blush and ivory. Siobhan's bouquet was a stunner, finished with trailing burgundy ribbons. The little touch of the blue thistle in there was just lovely as well.

The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Siobhan's bridal bouquet, but without the trailing ribbons as they were wearing burgundy dresses.

All boxed up and ready for delivery!

Jake's groom buttonhole was the same as those for the other men and for the ladies' corsages - a pink rose, blue thistle and burgundy astrantia, with some soft ruscus foliage to finish off.

The ceremony was a lovely set up - we placed a 'long and low' arrangement on the ceremony table which was later moved over to the top table. The bride and groom also tied on navy ribbons to the ends of the chairs which added a lovely splash of colour.

Sadly the bride's mum was no longer with her so for the chair where she should have sat we placed a small tied bouquet with flowers to match the bridal bouquet. We also added in a fuchsia flower cut from the garden as this was her favourite flower. Such a lovely gesture!

The reception room looked so lovely once all set up. The bride and groom provided their own beautiful candles and tealights for the tables which we decorated with fresh flowers and foliage.

The stunning cake and sweet little bride and groom cakes were created by Pinkface Cakes. We provided loose flowers all individually wired and taped which Vicki then added to the cake to form a cascading design. It looked just beautiful. There were also two mini cakes, one for each of the bride and groom with decor to match their outfits.

Here's a preview of the stunning professional photos captured by The Vedrines Photography - I just love the burgundy velvet bridesmaid dresses!!

Sammy & Will's wedding

Sammy and Will were married on 9th November 2019 at Little Channels. They went for a Cadbury purple colour scheme for their flowers, with lisianthus bringing the colour mixed with other purple, lilac and white flowers. Sammy's bouquet was so pretty, structured but textured and so lovely.

Ready for delivery!
The bridesmaids wore wrist corsages with flowers to match the bridal bouquet, all on pearl beaded bracelets.

There was also a little flower girl who carried the sweetest flower decorated basket.

The men wore buttonholes with a lisianthus bloom, thistle, white spray rose and foliage.

There were also corsages for the two mums - one as a lapel corsage and one on a bracelet. These were kept slightly different to the buttonholes and bridesmaid corsages, with white as the focal colour rather than purple.

In the ceremony room we placed a 'long and low' arrangement along the ceremony table, which was later moved to the top table for the reception. We also tied small bunches onto the ends of alternate chairs lining the aisle.

In the reception room there were only 3 tables - two had a large floral arrangement on a tall martini vase and the other had a smaller, low, posy style design.
