Nadia and Gearoid's wedding

25/11/2019

Nadia and Gearoid were married on 21 September 2019 in a church ceremony, with their reception held afterwards at Old Brook Barn. They went for a gorgeous autumnal look for their flowers, with a mix of orange, yellow, pink, peach and burgundy.

Nadia's bouquet was a stunning mix of colours, finished with neutral sage green ribbon so as not to clash with the flowers.

The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet and there was also a flower girl with a smaller bouquet still!

The buttonholes featured a salmon pink lisianthus with waxflower and a selection of foliages. They were also finished with sage green ribbon to match the bouquets.
Picture
The ladies wore wrist corsages of light pink lisianthus, either on a length of ribbon or a pearl beaded bracelet.

Over at the venue we decorated the top table with lots of bud vases of mixed flowers and loosely placed foliages, along the full length of the table.

The table centrepieces featured three different designs - the first included my trio of cylindrical glass candle holders with loosely placed foliages and flowers dotted around. The second had a series of bud vases with a selection of flowers in each and the third had a hurricane vase, also with loosely placed flowers and foliages.

A few extra bud vases were placed on the gift table, along with some glass tealight holders, to bring some decor into the entrance hall.

I hope Nadia and Gearoid had a wonderful day! 💗🧡

Cara and Fred were married on 21 September 2019 in a church ceremony, with their reception to follow afterwards at Houchins. They went for a super pretty colour combination of soft peach and white, with cafe au lait dahlias taking centre stage (all homegrown!)
Cara's bouquet was a beauty, with trailing ribbons in ivory silk and lace.

The bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets of all gypsophila with a ring of eucalyptus around the outer edge.

Fred's groom buttonhole featured a few small flowers to match the bridal bouquet, with peach and white spray roses, gypsophila and eucalyptus. The other men wore all gypsophila and eucalyptus buttonholes - mini versions of the bridesmaid bouquets!

Lined up on the bar at the venue with attachment instructions!

The venue looked amazing - all the white, greenery and fairy lights all together looked so pretty.

The top table incorporated some candle holders sourced separately by the bride and groom, with loosely placed eucalyptus in between them.

The table centrepieces incorporated a lovely selection of different vases, with pretty, mismatched tealight holders dotted around.

Clare and Lee were married on 8 September 2019 at Mulberry House. They went for a pretty mix of pinks and whites for their flowers, including some lovely roses, astilbe and delphinium amongst others.

Clare's bouquet was so soft and pretty, with rose gold ribbon to finish.

The little flower girl carried a wand with flowers to compliment the bouquets and trailing ribbons to match the bridesmaids. So sweet!

Lee's groom buttonhole was a pink rose with gypsophila and eucalyptus, also finished with rose gold ribbon. The other men wore smaller versions with a pink spray rose instead.

To decorate the ceremony room we wrapped foliage garlands around the two beams at the top of the room.
We also decorated the welcome sign leading into the ceremony area with fresh flowers and foliage.
Picture
Finally there was a 'long and low' along the front of the registrar's table. This was later moved to the top table for the wedding reception.

The table centrepieces featured flowers to match the rest of the wedding, designed onto my gold vases (they're actually candle holders but they work perfectly for flowers!)
Picture
We decorated the beautiful cake with fresh flowers, with little groupings that gradually got bigger in scale with the size of that particular tier. The personalised topper set it off perfectly.

A couple of thank you bouquets to finish off!

Carys and David's wedding

14/11/2019

Carys and David were married on 7 September 2019 at The Compasses at Pattiswick. They went for all foliages, with just a few flowers in the bouquets - it was great to be able to do something so different as foliage is quite often under-appreciated! The bride loved leopard print so sourced some leopard print ribbon for the bouquets and chair ends which worked really well with the greenery.

The men's buttonholes were a thistle and a mix of foliages, with soft green ribbon to finish off.

The room where both the ceremony and reception took place looked beautiful when all set up. Along the front of the registrars table I loosely placed a mix of foliages with a lantern at either end. On each of the chairs lining the aisle was a little sprig of foliage, tied on with leopard print ribbon.

Behind the table was a single hanging hoop with trailing foliages which made for a lovely backdrop.

As the ceremony and reception were in the same room I couldn't set up any of the table centrepieces, so I found other places around the room to place them first. Carys and David had a less formal set up for their tables so some of them had larger arrangements with a log slice, foliage garland and foliage bud vases. Some of the others featured a larger mason jar of foliage and on the remaining I provided extra bud vases for the chair ends to be moved into.

Amy and James' wedding

Amy and James were married on 31 August 2019 in a church ceremony, with their reception to follow at Layer Marney Tower. They went for mostly white flowers with a few pops of peachy/pink and eucalyptus foliage to compliment. We kept Amy's bouquet quite neat and compact which really showed off the lovely flowers.

The buttonholes featured a white lisianthus flower with a mix of foliages. They were finished with ivory satin ribbon to match the bouquets.

I loved the set up at the church - we got to create an arch design around the altar screen. I pre-made some foliage garlands and wrapped these round the beams framing the ceremony area. We then added in two clusters of all white flowers - one in each of the top corners to finish off the arch shape.

A little action shot of me at work! Thanks to my faithful assistant (aka mum!) for the photo.

To decorate the stairs leading up the wedding breakfast we added in simple foliage garlands, which the groom then strung fairy lights around which I imagine looked beautiful when all lit up in the evening.

A simple foliage garland decorated the seating plan.

The Long Gallery looked very elegant once all set up. The table centrepieces featured three different designs - a tall martini vase arrangement, a mid-height arrangement in a gold container and a trio of glass vases with candles inside, with flowers and foliages around the base.

Along the top of the mantlepiece we placed two floral arrangements, interspersed between three hurricane vases with a candle in each. I don't know if anyone from the venue got up there later in the day to light them - we had to use a ladder to climb up to place them!

The beautiful cake was made by the groom's mum which we decorated with fresh flowers and scattered eucalyptus leaves.
