Becca and Chris' wedding

3/4/2019

Becca and Chris were married on 23 March 2019. Their church ceremony was followed by a reception at Hutton Hall. They went for a beautiful spring look, with whites and blues as their main colours with pops of pink and yellow coming through. I used a mix of roses, ranunculus, anemone, muscari, forget-me-nots, ammi and tanacetum, amongst others.
Becca's bouquet was so pretty - I know I say this about all of the bouquets I make but I will never tire of a beautiful mix of flowers! And this one was so perfect for a spring wedding. So much texture which I just love and the loveliest  colour palette.

Becca's six bridesmaids all carried smaller versions of her bouquet, with the stems finished off with ivory satin ribbon.

All boxed up and ready for delivery.

The little flower girl wore an all gyp flower crown. I always finish flower circlets with ribbon so they can be adjusted according to the size of the wearer's head - this is much easier than trying to get head measurements!!

The groom's buttonhole, mens' buttonholes and ladies' corsages were all pretty similar - white roses with muscari, gypsophila and thlaspi. The groom's was just a larger version.

At the venue I decorated the staircase in the main entrance hall as the bride and groom would later make their entrance down this staircase to their guests. I designed it with a cluster of flowers at the end and a foliage garland trailing up and around the bannister.
Also in the entrance hall was this stunning fireplace, which the bride and groom lined up gin bottles onto. I then came a long and filled each of the gin bottles with flowers and foliages to match the rest of the wedding. This is such a popular thing at weddings now so it was nice to see some more obscure brands of gin on show - who knew there were so many?!

To decorate their long banquet tables for the main reception in the marquee Becca and Chris went for a selection of bud vases, tealights and scattered eucalyptus leaves, which looked amazing against the dusky blue runners made by the bride's mum! After the tables were cleared away the bud vases were dotted around the rest of the venue as additional decor into the evening. Here's the top table which had the runner and vases along the front edge of the table.

For the guest tables the runner went down the centre as people were sat on either side. It's lucky the bride and groom didn't go for anything bigger on their tables because with the glasses/teacups/salt and pepper shakers etc it was hard to find room for all the flowers!

And here's a little preview of the happy couple, captured beautifully by Chanon deValois Photography.

Wishing this lovely couple a long and happy future together 💙
