Chloe and Matthew were married on 11 June 2022 at Houchins. They chose pretty blues and whites for their flowers, which included delphinium, dahlias, roses, astilbe and sweet peas, with soft toned eucalyptus. Chloe's bouquet was soft and pretty, mostly whites with just a hint of blue in the delphinuim and eryngium, with trailing ivory ribbons to finish. I also made a mini version of Chloe's bouquet for her to throw, so she could keep her bouquet. This is a popular thing to do nowadays, especially with bouquet preservation becoming so popular. The four bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Chloe's bouquet, all finished with trailing ribbons. For the bridesmaids' hair I wired and taped individual lisianthus blooms and sprigs of gypsophila. Matthew's buttonhole featured two lisianthus blooms, with eryngium and foliage. The other men wore smaller versions with just a single lisianthus bloom. For the mums we designed wrist corsages on ribbon, with lisianthus, delphinium and gypsophila. It was a beautiful day at Houchins! We decorated the ceremony area with a long and low arrangement, which would later be moved to the top table, and gypsophila chair ends, which would later be moved to the table centrepieces. The tables featured a trio of vases - one for the chair ends to be moved into, one with a delphinium and one with chrysanthemum blooms. We wanted to use dahlias but it was still quite early in the season so I was only able to get enough for the bouquets, but the chrysants look so similar and these big blooms ones are just stunning.
