It's mid November now so I reckon that's an acceptable time to start talking Christmas (ignoring the fact that I've already been talking about it since October!) I've got a craft fair this weekend where I've got some lovely handmade items to sell and am hoping to take orders for wreaths and table decorations. I've made up a sample of each of my wreath designs and they're looking lovely (even if I do say so myself!). Wreath making is physically hard work - it's the hours spent mossing bases, cutting spruce/pine/yew into smaller pieces, wiring, decorating and so on, in the dark and cold with permanently wet hands and working late into the night. I do love every second of it though (even if my hands don't - part of why I start planning so early so I can spread it out and reduce the strain on my poor fingers!) I love designing my wreaths and making them look beautiful, and then seeing people's reactions when I deliver them. Take a look at my wreaths below - which one is your favourite?
