There was no rest for me this weekend - I had two wonderful weddings! First up was Kristina and Dave on Saturday 15th, who were married at Crabbs Barn and went for an ivory and blush colour scheme for their flowers. I used a combination of 'avalanche' and 'sweet avalanche' roses, 'primaballerina' roses, spray roses, bouvardia, gyp and eucalyptus, plus some leatherleaf in the table arrangement. I only created the arrangement for the ceremony/top table but it meant I got to go along to Crabbs Barn and get a great photo of my van along the blossom lined entryway! As well as the bouquets and top table arrangement I also created buttonholes and corsages. I recently bought some mini letter stamps and this was their first outing - I love how they look on the buttonhole labels! So much so that I've since prepped a load more for my upcoming weddings. Here's a look at Kristina and Dave's flowers: My second wedding was for Katy and Danny on Sunday 16th, who got married at Colchester Castle and held their reception at The Rivenhall Hotel. I only created bouquets for the bride, three bridesmaids and for the top of the cake, but I treat the small weddings with as much care and attention as the big weddings I do. Katy went for pastels with her flowers, so I used creamy white 'avalanche' roses, pink 'sweet avalanche' roses, lemon 'blonde beauty' roses and lilac 'ocean song' roses, as well as spray roses, gyp and eucalyptus. Katy looks lovely and all her little bridesmaids and flower girls are so cute! Here is a look at Katy's flowers: Having two weddings in one weekend, and Easter weekend at that, is hard work so it's a good job I love being busy! My next wedding is a week on Friday and then it quietens down a little in May with just one wedding (though it is the wedding of my best friend with some very special touches that I'm really excited about!)
Stay tuned for more insights into my wedding work!
