If you follow me on Instagram then you will have seen that I've been using the time this new year to decorate my workshop/studio. My workshop is in the garden of my parent's house so I only loan it from them, meaning I've never been allowed to make any permanent changes to it. Well this Christmas they changed their minds and allowed me to paint the walls/ceiling white. Hurrah!
Although I was advised against painting in January I went full steam ahead, as it's the perfect time in a florist's year to get work like this done - when it's quiet on the wedding front. Its taken me a good two weeks to get done as I was painting around other jobs and trying to get it done in the daylight. But...it's finished now and here is how it looks now! It's so bright and clean now, and a lot less clutter because I got ruthless with things I didn't need and also moved stuff out to my storage shed. There are still a couple of bits I need to do - I have some cushions that were on the sofa that I'm going to change the covers for and I haven't quite settled on an idea for the right side wall, although my silk wreath is looking pretty good there at the moment. I have four consultations lined up for next week (after taking this weekend off as it's my birthday!) so I'm excited for people to see it!
