So, as expected I failed miserably at blogging throughout December. The positive side of this is that I was so busy I couldn't find the time to blog, so that can't be a bad thing. New year now though so maybe I should make a resolution to blog more?!
This year I'd like to give you more of an insight into each wedding I do, including some of the behind the scenes stuff that I don't post on Facebook/Instagram. I've got quite a few weddings booked in already, with three consultations lined up for a couple of weeks when I'm "officially" back at work, so it's already lining up to be a busy year wedding wise! I'm so excited. Anyway, looking back to December - it was an amazing season of wreaths, garlands, workshops and table decorations, with a large funeral order to finish off before I took some time off for Christmas, which was sad but always an honour to be asked to do someone's funeral flowers. I love the build up to Christmas so much that the day itself has almost started feeling less special, but I still had a lovely day with my family and my super duper organisational/prep skills meant my orders were all planned out with no last minute stressing, meaning I could start to relax a few days before the big day. In other news....my workshop is currently undergoing a makeover (which is a lot more work than I anticipated it to be!) I fully intended to leave my flower wall intact, but as soon as I saw it next to the white paint I realised how dirty the paper had become and didn't think it would still look good. It has been up for a few years though so its done well! It may be a few weeks before the workshop is useable again, but now seemed like the perfect time to do it with no weddings going on in January. I do, however, have a photoshoot next week so I'm not sure where I'm going to work on that - it might be the kitchen table!!
