Jo and Charlie married on 10 September 2020 at Gosfield Hall. They originally postponed from June but were determined to go ahead this year and thankfully the restrictions at the time allowed them to. They went for a pretty mix of mauves, whites and greys for their flowers, with roses, spray roses, hydrangea, astilbe, astrantia, gypsophila, mint, stocks and freesia, with three different varieties of eucalyptus. Jo's bouquet was super pretty, kept fairly compact and not too wild but with with lots of different flowers bringing different shapes and textures. I finished the stems with ivory satin ribbon held with pins. Jo's bridesmaid carried a smaller bouquet but with all the same flowers and foliages. Bride and bridesmaid! Charlie's buttonhole had a rose, a spray rose, astilbe, gypsophila and some eucalyptus. My handwritten buttonhole tag looked perfect with it! The groomsmen wore white rose buttonholes, with astilbe, gyp and limonium. The bride's mum wore a complimentary corsage with a different coloured focal rose. All packaged up and ready for delivery! Setting up at the venue - we had to wear a visor which was a strange experience but safety first! We had our temperatures checked when we arrived and had to use hand gel - the venue were very good with their Covid protection measures. We decorated the ceremony area which looked beautiful. Due to Covid the ceremony had to move to a different room than originally planned, to allow more space, but this room was actually a lot lighter and very elegant. We scattered rose petals down the aisle, laid out candles in glass vases and framed the registrars table with two pedestal arrangements. These flowers were later moved over to the tables and placed on different stands for the centrepieces. My assistant Sarah even made a little heart out of petals on one of the side tables - so sweet! We also decorated the staircase in the entrance hall, beside which the cake was placed on a table for cutting. There was a cluster of flowers with foliage wrapped around the bannister and trailing down to the floor. The simple yet elegant cake was made by Luca's Cakes and we provided some individually wired and taped flowers to decorate this with. A few rose petals scattered around the base finished it off perfectly. Along the top table we placed a series of bud bases, with a larger vase for the bridal bouquet to be placed into. We then loosely scattered rose petals and eucalyptus leaves along the whole length. There were six guest tables with three different designs on them. On two of the tables was a tall gold stand for the flowers to be moved over from the ceremony area. On another two tables was a smaller gold stand with a similar arrangement - just a smaller version! On the final two tables some of the glass candle holders were moved over from the ceremony table with the artificial candles swapped out for real ones. There was then a trio of bud vases around the outside and tealights in between. A couple of thank you bouquets - a large one for the bride's mum and a smaller one for the wedding co-ordinator. Here's a little peek at the professional photos by EPS Photography - just lovely! I hope Jo and Charlie had a wonderful day!
