Megan and Jake's wedding

Megan and Jake were married on 1 June 2023 at Houchins. They chose classic whites and greens for their flowers, which included roses, campanula, astilbe, sweet rocket and phlox.

Megan's bouquet was so pretty and with the addition of a few sweet peas it smelt divine! We kept the ribbon simple with ivory satin bound round the stems.

The four bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Megan's bouquet, with all the same flowers and foliages.

There were also four flower girls who each carried a little heart shaped wand of gypsophila - so sweet!

Boxed up and ready for delivery!

Jake wore a spray rose, gypsophila and foliage buttonhole in a larger arrangement than his groomsmen.

The other men wore smaller buttonholes with a single white spray rose, gyp and foliage.

Delivered to the venue in their little vases with the handwritten name tags attached (this is something I do for every wedding and many a venue has thanked me for it!)

The ceremony looked lovely all set up, with my foliage curtain framing the ceremony area, petals down the aisle and a long and low arrangement on the table.

The long and low was later moved to the sweetheart top table and there were 7 other tables for the guests. In the centre of these was a log slice provided by the venue, on top of which we placed our trio of cylindrical glass vases with floating candles inside. Around the edge of these we loosely placed sprigs of foliage and gypsophila. A fairly simple design but so elegant and effective. And I loved the little nod of colour in the table runner and napkins!

A couple of thank you bouquets for the mums.

The cake was made by Luca's Cakes however I'd finished my set up before she arrived so I left all the flowers for her to play with! I always wire and tape every stem so as to keep them food safe so it's just a case of poking them into the cake!
