Nicola and Ethan were married on 5 April 2024 at Little Channels. They chose classic whites and greens for their flowers, which included roses, tulips, stocks and waxflower, with eucalyptus and rosemary (a special request from the groom) for the foliage. Nicola's bouquet was so pretty, with lots of lovely texture and some gorgeous trailing chiffon ribbon to finish off the stems. The three bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet. And for the little flower girl I made a wand with a few of the smaller flowers from the bouquets. Ethan's buttonhole featured a large white rose with foliage, including rosemary, and I added a bit of waxflower because I thought it was pretty! The other buttonholes and corsages all had spray roses as the focal flowers to leave the groom to stand out a bit more. Delivered to the venue! I loved working on this ceremony set up for Nicola and Ethan. The hired my metal arch frame which I added some draping fabric to, as well as two groupings of flowers towards the top in an asymmetrical design. When an arch is behind a table there's almost no point in adding flowers at the base because they won't be seen anyway! I also placed a long and low arrangement on the table, with two mason jars of flowers - these were supposed to go on the chairs lining the aisle however the couple had also booked some beautiful chair sashes with silk eucalyptus from Occasions Covered and honestly they ended up looking too busy so I elected not to use them here (Nicola was happy with this when I explained my reasoning to her!) so a word of advice to future couples - don't forget to think about your wedding suppliers in relation to each other! When you have chair sashes you don't really need flowers as well, unless you design them around each other, which would free up budget to use elsewhere in your wedding. The top table looked lovely and full while setting up, and would have looked even more beautiful later into the day once the candles were lit! The same long and low from the ceremony was used in the centre, with four mason jars with the chair ends and two vases with a couple of the bridesmaid bouquets (again a clever way to maximise your flower budget and utilise flowers in more than one area of your wedding). The couple provided their own candles and tealights. There were only 4 guest tables (it's a lovely intimate venue!) and on these I placed a ring of flowers with some glassware with floating candles in the centre. This is such a clean, elegant design that works with both pillar and floating candles, and the floral arrangement can be taken home and enjoyed even after the wedding is over. The beautiful cake was made by Cupcake Cloud and I provided food safe flowers for decorating, each individually wired and taped so nothing potential harmful was going into the cake. I didn't use all of the foliage I'd allotted for the arch so I added a few sprigs at the base of the welcome sign and table plan - I'd always rather it didn't go to waste!
